Sleeping Correctly to Minimize Spinal Stress

Sleep is one of the important factors of health. The only time the body heals itself is when your sleeping; thus it is important we get good sleep.

The best way to sleep is to lay on your side, with a pillow between the knees and/or hugging a pillow. It is also important to have a pillow underneath your head. Make sure that the pillow is not so high that the neck is in an angle, putting stress on the lower neck and not so low which puts stress on the neck as well.

If you must lay on your back, place a pillow or two under your knees to assist in relieving stress off your back.
